One cabin or two pieces? An all-in-one takes a single footprint and one outlet, and it's simpler to install. Separate pieces let you place the panel anywhere in the house, use it without heating the sauna, and upgrade either half later. Neither is better — it depends on whether you're short on space or short on rooms.

What each piece actually does

Infrared saunaWarms your body directly with radiant panels rather than heating the air. Runs cooler than a traditional sauna — up to 149°F — and reaches temperature in 30–45 minutes. Every Cal Saunas model runs on 120V rather than the 240V service most saunas need.
Red light panelDelivers red and near-infrared wavelengths, typically 630–850nm, at a set distance for a set duration. Panels differ in irradiance, coverage area and wavelength mix — each product page gives the measured figures.
Cold plungeA chilled, filtered tub held at a set temperature. The Blizzard includes its own chiller and holds temperature without ice.

Planning your room

How much space do I need?

The Blisspod Vienna and Cal Saunas SOLARA-4 are indoor cabins — each product page gives the exact footprint. The SOLARA-OUTDOOR needs 78.7" × 59" of level, load-bearing pad with drainage, sized for the roof overhang rather than the cabin. Red light panels are wall-mounted or on a stand and need clear floor space in front of them.

What electrical work is involved?

Every Cal Saunas model needs a dedicated, independent 20-amp 120-volt circuit with its own outlet. It cannot share an outlet, and extension cords and surge protectors are not permitted. That's a smaller job than the 240-volt service most saunas require, but it is still electrical work — budget for an electrician unless you already have an unshared 20-amp circuit at the site. Electrical requirements for the Blisspod cabins are listed on their product pages. Red light panels plug into a standard outlet.

Do I have to buy everything at once?

No. These are combinations we recommend, not packages — each product is bought individually at its own price. Most people start with the sauna and add a panel later.

How is it all delivered?

Saunas ship by freight, crated on a pallet, delivered curbside to your driveway on a liftgate truck. Freight on the Cal Saunas models is calculated at checkout based on your address. Red light panels ship by standard parcel carrier. Delivery terms are stated on every product page.
