Does this sauna need a special electrical outlet?

Yes. It requires a dedicated, independent 20-amp 120-volt circuit with its own outlet. It cannot share an outlet with other appliances, and extension cords and surge protectors are not permitted. If you don't already have an unshared 20-amp exterior circuit at the site, you'll need an electrician, though this is a much smaller job than the 240-volt service most outdoor saunas this size require.

How much space do I need for the SOLARA-OUTDOOR?

The cabin is 59 inches wide by 41.7 inches deep, but the roof overhangs to 78.7 inches wide by 59 inches deep, so size your pad for the roof, not the cabin. Overall height is 85.5 inches. During assembly you'll also want a clear 10 by 10 foot area to unpack and sort panels.

What is the difference between an infrared and a traditional sauna?

A traditional sauna heats the air with a stove and rocks, usually running 160 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and you pour water over the rocks for steam. An infrared sauna warms your body directly with radiant heat and runs cooler. The SOLARA reaches up to 149 degrees Fahrenheit. It uses ceramic and carbon infrared heaters together, which is why it comes up to temperature in 30 to 45 minutes. There is no stone heater and you do not add water.

How many people does it seat?

Three. The interior bench is 55.5 inches wide and 19.7 inches deep.

Can this sauna be installed outdoors?

Yes. It is designed for outdoor use only and is not intended for indoor installation. It needs a level, load-bearing pad with drainage. Do not install it near a pool, pond, or other open water, or in a humid or damp location, and make sure water cannot pool at the base, because standing water there voids the warranty. It is rated for temperate continental climates.

What warranty comes with it?

One year from the date of delivery, covering structural defects affecting wall panel balance and locking, the power unit and control panel, the carbon and infrared heaters and circuit board, and the lighting and audio system. It is warranted by Lloyd's Material Supply Company, Inc. Parts are covered; freight, labor, diagnostic and travel fees are not. The warranty is void if the sauna is used commercially, including in short-term rentals such as Airbnb or Vrbo. Does it arrive assembled?

No. It ships as a kit in four boxes: front and rear panel, side panels, bench, ceiling and floor, and roof components. Plan on at least four people, because individual wall panels weigh 60 to 80 pounds and the manufacturer specifically prohibits assembling alone. Assemble it in its final position, because moving it afterwards can fracture panels at the screw points.

By freight carrier: four boxes on a pallet, delivered curbside to your driveway on a liftgate truck. The carrier does not bring it into your yard, unpack it, or assemble it. Freight is calculated at checkout based on your address. White-glove inside delivery is available on request; contact us before ordering for a quote.

Warranty

SaunaLife provides a limited lifetime warranty on the sauna structure for residential use, to the original retail purchaser. It covers factory-assembled components found defective in workmanship.

Not covered: sauna heaters and added components, normal material wear, natural weathering of the lumber, and the labour or expenses of removing, installing or replacing the sauna. The warranty is void if the sauna is altered, misused, used commercially, or repaired by anyone other than an authorised representative.

How to make a claim: contact us at support@homemedspa.com. We open the claim and manage it with the manufacturer on your behalf — you don't chase a phone tree, and you don't arrange anything with a third party.

Delivery

Ships as a kit by freight carrier, delivered curbside. The carrier will not bring it into your yard, unpack it, or assemble it. Delivery is to the 48 contiguous states.

This sauna ships as a kit and is assembled on site. Prepare a level, load-bearing foundation before delivery — concrete, pavers or a rated deck. Bare soil is not sufficient, and an uneven base will distort the structure over time.
