A far infrared cabin for one or two people with red light emitters and chromotherapy lighting built in, so the two formats share one footprint instead of taking two.
Far infrared warms your body directly with radiant heat rather than heating the air the way a traditional stove-and-rocks sauna does. It runs cooler as a result, and there is no water and no steam.
Who it's for
A one-or-two-person cabin is the size that fits a spare room, a garage corner or a finished basement. For three or four seats, the Cal Saunas SOLARA range starts at $3,000 with full electrical and freight detail published.
Choosing your configuration
This sauna is built to order across three choices. Every combination is available.
Timber
| Canadian Hemlock | The standard for infrared cabins. Pale, close-grained, dimensionally stable through heat cycles, and almost odourless — which matters more than it sounds, because you are sitting inside it. |

Frequently asked questions
Hemlock or red cedar?
Hemlock is the standard: pale, stable through heat cycles, and essentially odourless. Red cedar is warmer in colour, naturally aromatic, and more resistant to moisture and decay, for about $100 more. If the smell of cedar is part of what a sauna means to you, take the cedar. If you would rather not smell anything, take the hemlock.
What is a resonance speaker?
Instead of pushing air like a conventional driver, a resonance transducer vibrates the cabin structure so the bench and walls produce the sound. In a small enclosed space that gives a fuller low end than a 4" cone can manage. It is the top audio option, about $200 over standard.
Which glass should I choose?
Clear glass keeps the cabin feeling open and is the brightest. Brown is tinted for privacy. Sand is the most opaque of the three. If the sauna sits somewhere overlooked — a shared basement, a room with a window onto a walkway — the tinted options earn their premium.
What is the difference between an infrared and a traditional sauna?
A traditional sauna heats the air with a stove and rocks, usually running 160 to 200°F, and you pour water over the rocks for steam. An infrared sauna warms your body directly with radiant heat and runs cooler. There is no stone heater and you do not add water.
What is chromotherapy lighting?
Coloured LED lighting fitted inside the cabin, cycled or set to a single colour. It is an ambience feature.
How long does it take to arrive?
