What it is
A flexible red light pad, 27" × 11", carrying 1,998 LEDs — 660nm visible red and 850nm near-infrared, three diodes per LED. It is the largest single pad in the range.
Because it flexes, it sits against the body rather than at a distance from it. That is the difference between a pad and a panel: a panel covers a large field from a set distance and leaves you facing it, a pad wraps the area you are actually treating.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants light on a specific area — a back, an abdomen, a thigh, a calf, a shoulder — while sitting or lying down, rather than standing in front of a panel. It rolls up, so it travels.

Frequently asked questions
What does it plug into?
A standard 110V household outlet. No dedicated circuit, no electrician. The pad has its own controller and power supply, and if you own more than one pad they can be run at the same time from a power strip.
What is the difference between 660nm and 850nm?
Two wavelengths. 660nm is visible red and is absorbed close to the surface of the skin. 850nm is near-infrared, invisible to the eye, and reaches further. This pad carries both.
How is this different from a rigid panel?
A pad rests against the body and conforms to the area. A panel works hands-free from a set distance and covers a wider field. Which is better depends on whether you want one area covered closely or a larger area covered at a distance.
What does "three diodes per LED" mean?
Each LED housing contains three separate emitting diodes rather than one. It is how the pad reaches 1,998 diodes at 27" × 11".
Is there an irradiance figure?
Not one we can publish. The manufacturer has told us in writing that it has chosen not to publish irradiance measurements, because readings vary with the measuring equipment, the distance and the method. We would rather say that than quote a number we cannot stand behind.
